The Bitnami Cloud Tools for Microsoft Azure is a set of tools packaged together with preconfigured Python language runtime to work out of the box. To use them, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Load the environment
Assuming you already have an Azure account, the next step after installation is to load the environment.
Linux and Mac OS X
Execute the azure-shell.sh script from the installation directory, as shown below:
Execute the azure-cmd.bat script from the installation directory, as shown below:
Step 2: Add account credentials
The next step is to add your Azure credentials. Follow these steps:
Execute the command below:
$ azure account download
This will launch your Web browser and redirect you to the Microsoft Azure website.
Log in if needed. The system will generate a .publishsettings file which you'll be prompted to download through your browser.
Import your Azure account by executing the command below, replacing the FILE placeholder with the path to the downloaded .publishsettings file:
$ azure account import FILE
Step 3: Execute commands
Use the Bitnami Cloud Tools for Microsoft Azure by executing the necessary commands at the command line. Use the command azure help for a complete list of available commands and options.
