Perform a system check

Before running the commands shown on this page, you should load the Bitnami stack environment by executing the installdir/use_APPNAME script (Linux and MacOS) or by clicking the shortcut in the Start Menu under “Start -> Bitnami APPNAME Stack -> Application console” (Windows). On OS X VMs, the installation directory is /opt/bitnami and OS X VM users can click the “Open Terminal” button to run commands. Learn more about the Bitnami stack environment and about OS X VMs.

To check that Matomo is installed correctly, log in to the administration panel and navigate to the “Settings -> System Check” section. This section will display a report showing any errors or warnings.

The only failed test should be the “File Integrity” test which normally shows the following error:

File size mismatch: installdir/apps/matomo/htdocs/misc/cron/.htaccess (expected length: 103, found: 104)

This error can safely be ignored on the Bitnami Matomo Stack since the stack removes the content of .htaccess files for security reasons and instead places this content in the installdir/apps/matomo/conf/htaccess.conf file.
