Modify the server type or resize the server

The Bitnami Launchpad for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Classic only supports setting the server type and size during the initial server build. Should you wish to resize the server disk after this, you can only do so from the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Classic Console.

Follow the steps below to resize the server disk:

  • Log in to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Classic Console.
  • Browse to the “My Services” Dashboard.
  • In the list of available services, find the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and select the “Open Service Console” menu item.

    Storage instances

  • Select the “Storage” tab.

  • Find the disk related to the instance. The name of the disk should be the same as the name of the launched instance.

    Storage instances

  • Click the menu icon and select the “Update” option.

  • Select the new disk size and click “OK” to save the configuration.

    Disk size selection

  • Reboot the server, either from the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Classic Console or the Bitnami Launchpad for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Classic.

    Instance reboot

The server will automatically restart using the new configuration.
