Access phpMyAdmin

Before running the commands shown on this page, you should load the Bitnami stack environment by executing the installdir/use_APPNAME script (Linux and Mac OS X) or by clicking the shortcut in the Start Menu under “Start -> Bitnami APPNAME Stack -> Application console” (Windows). Learn more.

Windows, Linux, Mac OS X

You should be able to access phpMyAdmin directly, by browsing to http://127.0.0.1/phpmyadmin.

The username is root for phpMyAdmin, and the password is the one specified by you during the installation process.

Mac OS X-VM

To access phpMyAdmin using the Mac OS X-VM you need to create an SSH tunnel, as described below:

  • On the graphical manager tool, select the “Network” tab.
  • Click “Enable”. This create automatically an SSH tunnel forwarded to the port 8080.

    You should be able to access phpMyAdmin directly, by browsing to http://127.0.0.1:8080/phpmyadmin.

    Enter the following credentials to access phpMyAdmin:

    • Username: root
    • Password: bitnami1
